This Microsoft Security Essentials is good but still not the best, But i've installed both Nod32 and Microsoft Security Essentials. And both are working fine. Yes one thing Microsoft Security Essentials is very light on resources and can be installed with another antivirus program.
Atleast having 2 antivirus program in a computer, we are more protected

This can be installed in pair with any antivirus already installed.
As you will see over the time you will use it, this is the best anti-malware today and the best web/java trojan blocker.
Recommended to install on your computer no matter what protection you already have.
I'm using it with ESET Smart Security v4.x and it's perfect, it stops every malware attempt, many of these were not seen by Eset but MS blocked them rapidly. It's No.1 antivirus for sure.

It's free, so one cannot complain too much, but MSE uses the same antivirus engine as the phased-out OneCare, and this "new" version focuses only on malware blocking.
If you don't like an annoying interface, as well as a daily pop-up ad, you might prefer to use Malwarebytes or other similar free prog.
Don't be fooled by the use of the term "anti virus engine" - use this if you must - but you do need a real anti virus program as well - not to mention a good (non Micro$oft) firewall.
Please speak only if you know something about. I have tested it for months and the interface is not annoying, also Malwarebytes is a nice freezing tool and also tends to not update, and yes I used that too for long time.
Please don't fool around with 10 years old anti MS statements, first test both, the security essentials and the new firewall of windows 7 and then speak...
I repeat, this is first grade antivirus, recommended to anyone with any kind of antivirus already installed. Try to believe.

No, folks, it is not REALLY a badly revamped MS OneCare, etc. It is the most wonderful thing to come out of Redmond ever! It is a world saver! Brilliant! A masterstroke from Micro$oft.
Why is for some people so hard to try and then speak???
